You Always Come Back

Grab your chance to see Leanne Mayer live as she makes her last of two weekend appearances at The Fed tonight. The award winning singer/songwriter will be performing solo from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in what she calls her “unofficial KLCVI reunion”.

Friday night’s guests were treated to the weekend’s special menu and Mayer’s combined playlist of covers and original works including her 2020 hit single The Devil You Know. Among the cover tunes were Melissa Etheridge, Tracy Chapman, The Cranberries, Van Morrison, 4 Non-Blondes and Mayer’s favorite – Creedence Clearwater Revival.

“Melissa Etheridge was one of the tapes I wore out learning to sing,” Mayer told her audience. “I loved to sing.” Mayer seamlessly transitioned from one request to the next for her hometown friends, alumni, and fans.
“I’m certainly lucky to be from K.L.,” praised Mayer. “There’s no other place like Kirkland Lake. You always come back.”

“It went absolutely fabulous,” says The Fed bar manager Amy Danchuk. “It brought out some new faces, that’s for sure. So that was wonderful. It was the perfect evening.”

“It was nice,” praises Danchuk, “and close, and intimate. It was beautiful.”
